Customer benefits
The be Retail Social platform is focused on the benefits that customers derive when they use it. Of course these all lead to benefits for the retailer but highlights of these benefits include:
Intuitive
By using intuitive swiping gestures for virtual try on sessions be Retail Social allows customers to easily browse a range of garments. Customers swipe vertically through styles and horizontally through colours and fabrics, while the model they are using continues to dynamically move on screen for a more true-to-life virtual try on experience. The intuitive control that the customer has allows them to consider more options and reach more informed purchasing decisions quickly and simply.
Social sharing
Shopping, at its best, is a fun social activity yet it’s one which the restrictions of the pandemic have forever changed. Nothing beats the value of getting your Mum’s or your sister’s or your best friend’s opinion on what you are planning to wear while you model it. be Retail Social allows customers to easily share, using the social media or communications platform of their choosing, dynamic imagery of themselves wearing an outfit and also change colours, styles and types in real time. As in real life the customer’s friends can comment and make suggestions instantly, but (in an improvement on the status quo) they can also interact with the model themselves separately and put forward their own suggestions.
Personalization
Models are lovely, gorgeous to look at and some are so beautiful they just seem like a different species to ordinary mortals like us. This inevitably causes issues – will the dress worn by a 5ft 10” model look good on me? The be Retail Social platform answers this question: using swipe technology customers can create a model that matches their shape, skin tone, height, clothing size, appearance of age, hair and motion. They can even put a selfie onto the face of the model should they wish to. Only then can customers accurately assess if the clothes they are interested in look good on them providing true inclusivity and humanizing the experience.
Simple and quick to use
Buying clothes online can try the patience of even the most focused shopper. There’s much clicking, lots of scrolling and a great deal of ‘going in and going out’ of website areas to find different colours, styles and patterns. The be Retail Social platform uses dynamic imagery that allows the customer to consider more products, colours and styles more quickly and easily in a standardised manner. It saves the customer time and enhances their experience.
The helpful assistant
Recognising that, as in real life, your friends might not be available to go shopping when you want to the platform can also connect you with a shopping assistant to advise you – connecting exactly the online and offline experience.
Convenience
A familiar experience is that we go into a store, we see something we like and ask to try it on. Increasingly, due to global supply chain issues, it’s not in stock but the helpful assistant offers to order it online for you. Using the be Retail Social platform the customer can quickly assess if that’s something they should consider as they can virtually try it on. But, as importantly, when customers venture to or near a store the platform is able to alert them to the fact that a previously considered item is physically available to try on or view.
